Alex Lenaerts
Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Ukraine (2018–2022)
Alex Lenaerts is a Belgian diplomat who played a key role in strengthening bilateral relations between Belgium and Ukraine and advancing Ukraine’s European integration. During his tenure as Ambassador, he actively promoted the rule of law, human rights, and sustainable development.
He is also known for his advocacy of Fair Trade principles, emphasizing the importance of ethical standards, environmental protection, and workers’ rights in the modern economy.
